Douplo keeps the stock of a product’s variants in step inside your Shopify store. This page explains what the app stores, why, for how long, and how to have it removed.

Short version: Douplo does not collect or store any data about your customers.

What Douplo can access

When you install Douplo, you grant it three permissions: read products, write inventory and read locations. It does not request access to customers, orders or payments, and it does not store the name or email address of the people who use the app.

What Douplo stores

DataWhy
Your store’s domain and the access token Shopify issues to the appTo call Shopify’s API on behalf of your store.
Product, variant, inventory item and location IDs, and the last known stock quantities of products you syncTo know which variants belong together and to recognise changes.
Your settings: which products sync automatically and which variants you excludedTo do what you asked.
Product titles of the products you syncTo show readable names in your sync history.
A sync history: when a sync ran, for which product, the old and new quantity, and any error messageSo you can see what Douplo did and why something failed.
A short log of webhook events from Shopify (topic and status)To show whether Shopify is reaching the app.
Which plan you are on (Free or Pro)To apply the plan’s limits. Billing is handled entirely by Shopify; Douplo never sees payment details.
An email address, only if you enter one in SettingsFor failed-sync notifications.

How long it is kept

  • Sync history and webhook logs older than 90 days are deleted automatically, and each store keeps a limited number of entries.
  • When you uninstall Douplo, all data held for your store is deleted, normally straight away. Shopify also sends Douplo a shop-erasure request about 48 hours after uninstalling, which removes anything that remains, so your data is gone within 48 hours at the latest.
  • Customer data requests and deletion requests from Shopify are honoured; because Douplo holds no customer data, there is nothing to return or delete.

Who it is shared with

Douplo does not sell or share your data, and it does not use advertising or analytics trackers. The only recipients are Shopify (the app talks to Shopify’s API) and the hosting provider that runs the service, which processes the data on Douplo’s behalf.

Security

All traffic uses HTTPS, requests from Shopify are verified with Shopify’s signature, and access to the stored data is limited to the people who operate the service.

Your choices

You can turn off syncing for any product at any time, uninstall the app to have your data deleted, or ask us to delete or explain the data held for your store.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top will change and, for significant changes, we will tell installed merchants through the app.
